PALMER, Mass. (WHDH) — Tuesday afternoon a car crash caused a portion of the Mass. Pike to close in Palmer.
A flatbed was carrying concrete when the driver crashed. The cab of the truck caught on fire and then the flames spread to the woods nearby. No other vehicles were involved.
The driver was uninjured but traffic remained slow for much of the evening. All traffic lanes reopened around 7:30 p.m.
