PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that sent two men to the hospital in Providence.
WJAR-TV reports the shooting occurred early Friday morning on Prudence Street in the city's Silver Lake neighborhood. One man was shot in the back and is listed in serious condition. The other was shot in the calf. One of the men lives on the street; the other was visiting from Georgia.
Police say the shooter fired from a black sport utility vehicle.
Police are also investigating a shooting Tuesday night in the city's West End that left three people wounded.
