GREENWICH, Conn. (AP) — Authorities say a Greenwich High School student committed suicide after the first day of school and bullying may have been a factor.

Greenwich police say 15-year-old Bart Palosz died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday at his family's home.

First Selectman Peter Tesei says he was told by people who knew Palosz that bullying might have contributed to his decision to take his own life.

Police are reportedly investigating the bullying allegations and plan to interview students.

School leaders say they're looking into what happened to prevent a similar tragedy.

Meanwhile, Palosz's social media pages tell the story of a troubled teen.

According to the Greenwich Time, in one post on Google+, Palosz requested a certain song be played at his burial. He also made numerous suicidal remarks.
