MANCHESTER, Conn. (WHDH) — A school bus driver in Connecticut was arrested Tuesday after crashing into a van in front of the bus at a stoplight.
Police said Melissa Forrest failed a field sobriety test and may have been on medicine at the time of the crash.
“It’s just unbelievable that this person is driving a bus, driving anything but especially a school bus with children on it,” Richard Husbands, a package store owner in Manchester, said.
I think they need to prosecute this person because this person put a lot of kids lives in danger,” Manchester parent Karen Walch said.
Forrest was released on $5,000 bail. She is due in court on Sept. 30.
