BRAINTREE, Mass. (AP) — A 22-year-old Cape Cod man has claimed his $30.5 million share of Tuesday's multi-state Mega Millions jackpot.

Massachusetts Lottery officials said Wednesday that Sandeep Singh of Hyannis, who has been working two jobs, plans to buy his family a house and go back to college with his winnings. He decided to take the one-time lump sum payment of about $23 million, about $16 million after taxes.

Lottery officials said he came to Lottery headquarters outside Boston late Wednesday afternoon with his mother, sister and niece. The winning ticket was purchased at the AM/PM convenience store in Hyannis.

The other winning Mega Millions jackpot ticket from Tuesday's draw was sold in Fresno, Calif.

A Boston man won a $32 million Mega Millions jackpot last year.
