SANDWICH, Mass. (WHDH) — Two teenage brothers had a close call when their truck was hit by a train in Sandwich.

Police said the 17-year-old driver crossed the tracks without stopping.

They said lights were flashing and warning drivers of an oncoming train – but there were no barriers to prevent cars from crossing.

The train hit the truck, sending it into the woods.

Both teens were expected to be okay.
