WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island victim of the Boston Marathon bombings has a new prosthetic leg that will allow her to wear her favorite high heels.

Heather Abbott of Newport showed off the prosthetic Thursday at the Warwick offices of Next Step Bionics and Prosthetics. She lost her left leg in the April 15 bombing.

Abbott already has other prosthetics, including a running leg and one that allows her to swim. Abbott's new leg has a high-definition silicone prosthetic cover that looks so life-like it's hard to tell it's not real.

Abbott called herself a "professional heel-wearer" and said she rarely wore flats before the bombing. The new leg will allow her to wear four-inch heels.

Abbott wore a skirt on Thursday, something she says she'll do regularly now.
