UNDATED (WHDH) — A survivor of the Boston Marathon bombings proposed to his girlfriend, who was a nurse that treated his injuries.
James Bim Costello popped the question to Krista D'Agostino while on a European cruise in France with other victims of the bombings. The two met when he was being treated. He posted a picture of the ring on Facebook.
He attached the following message: "I now realize why I was involved in the tragedy. It was to meet my best friend and the love of my life."
More than 100 heroes and victims took off from Logan Airport Wednesday night for an all-inclusive river cruise through the south of France. The tab is being picked up by Vantage Deluxe World Travel.
