BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Celtics selected Brazilian Lucas Nogueira with the No. 16 pick in the NBA draft amid reports that they were sending him to the Dallas Mavericks along with a pair of second-rounders to move up three spots.

With the No. 13 pick, the Mavericks selected 7-footer Kelly Olynyk from Gonzaga. He was fifth in voting for the Wooden Award.

Olynyk averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 63 percent from the field while leading Gonzaga to a 32-3 season.

Olynyk would join a team with no coach that is attempting to trade its two biggest stars, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, to the Brooklyn Nets in a deal that would signal a major rebuilding for the squad that won the 2008 NBA title.
