STERLING, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut State Police have identified a motorist found dead at the scene of a minor car accident.

Police determined that Marcus Brisbane of Wethersfield suffered a chest injury not related to the crash. Police identified Brisbane on Sunday, a day after responding to the crash.

Troopers found that the 40-year-old Brisbane suffered the injury during a verbal dispute that occurred away from the scene of the crash in Sterling.

State police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance says investigators have secured the two locations and are treating them as crime scenes.

Police have interviewed witnesses, but did not say if anyone has been arrested.

A medical examiner will conduct an autopsy on Tuesday to determine the manner and cause of Brisbane's death.
