Boston Police say they will monitor plans a group, which some say advocates rape, made to hold a meetup in Boston.
A blogger, who goes by Roosh V, has called on his followers to hold meetups around the world, including one in Boston on Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. at the Paul Revere statue in the North End.
The blogger, in a February 2015 online article titled "How to Stop Rape," wrote, "Make rape legal, if done on private property."
Later, Roosh V tweeted, "I will state once again: ‘How to Stop Rape’ article was satire. Neither me or my supporters want rape to be legalized. The media is lying."
On Wednesday, a group organizer changed its meetup plans for Boston. However, Boston Police say they will monitor the plans.
